An overview of the social media pages & projects that I manage.

@mattbeauchampva (virtual assistant & social media manager)

Website | Facebook | Instagram | TikTok | YouTube | LinkedIn

For this business, I am always trying to advertise the extent to which social media can be utilised. All of my content doubles as not only promotional materials for my own business but as examples and evidence for my clients. I focus on creating content that provides some form of value for my specific target audience; attracting new customers and building my authority within the niche/industry that I work. The key strategy here is that I am not trying to simply chase big numbers and reach the most amount of people possible; but reach a very specific kind of person based on the criteria I have established through market research.

Facebook | Instagram | YouTube | TikTok | Spotify | Soundcloud | Bandcamp

For my music, I run perhaps the widest range of social media pages because I am utilising more specialised platforms for showcasing and distributing music/audio in particular. These pages also run a lot of video content as I create tutorials for people learning to make music themselves. This aligns well with my audience and allows me to generate more engaging content that keeps my accounts active even when I am not gigging or releasing new music. These pages also offer a good example of what I called ‘recycling content’ where I made a handful of long-form YouTube videos that have since been chopped up into shorter clips, generating hundreds of assets that can be posted across short-form content platforms like TikTok & Instagram.

@mattdoesanart (freelance digital artist & illustrator)

Instagram | Facebook

Being a visual art form, I predominantly focus on using Instagram to promote my illustrations as this platform is the most suitable for showcasing images. Here, the content comes about quite naturally as I post the work that I do for clients. In addition, I create time lapse videos of myself drawing which are posted as short-form videos across my Instagram & Facebook pages. This is useful as I can create these in batches and reserve them as ‘back-up content’ for when I have no new commissions to post about. In the past, I have also ran online shops to sell my art through third-party websites such as Etsy, Shopify, Bigcartel & more.

@sndsystmcltr (record label)

Facebook | Instagram | Soundcloud | Bandcamp

For my record label, Bandcamp acts as this main hub as this is where I make the sales. Facebook, Instagram & Soundcloud then act as promotional channels that are all optimised to drive traffic back to my Bandcamp page. Soundcloud is a music-specific social media platform and is used for posting audio clips from our releases. For Facebook & Instagram, I then turn these audio clips into short-form videos made with a music visualiser for adding visual content. These work well as they can be made in batches and scheduled in advance to keep the channels active.

@mattjbeauchamp (travel blog)

YouTube | TikTok | Instagram

With my travel blogs, I am running an experiment across YouTube & TikTok by uploading short-form videos every single day for at least 1 year. I love to document my adventures when I travel anyway which has resulted in me having a backlog of hundreds of short-form videos from around the world. By uploading daily, I am able to constantly gather data and measure how videos are performing across different platforms while experimenting with variables such as titles, hashtags, upload times and more. This has been a great personal resource for hands-on learning and developing strategies that I can then apply for my clients.
